SIA Conducts Tests In Preparation For Year 2000
YEAR 2000
NEW YORK--Wall Street is currently undergoing two weeks of testing in preparation for the Year 2000. Twenty-nine Wall Street firms and 12 exchanges are taking part in the beta tests, which are being sponsored by the Securities Industry Association (SIA).

While these initial tests do not specifically involve market data vendors and pricing systems, they represent the first round of a series preceding industry-wide tests. These will take place next March and will embrace all aspects
