KX Systems Updates for Speed

KX Systems, a Palo Alto-based time-series database and data analysis technology vendor, will release a faster version of its Kdb+ database this week to enable users to more easily analyze rising volumes of real-time market data.

The latest version, 2.2, has the capacity to perform upwards of one million operations (inserting, updating or querying data) per second, a ten-fold increase over the previous version.
