FinancialContent Buys Private Wire

FinancialContent, a San Francisco-based provider of content management services, has acquired financial news network CNET’s Private Wire business unit and will operate the investor channel of CNET News.com, the companies said last week.
FinancialContent’s flagship product Studio integrates financial data and tools into Web sites and intranets. The $3 million deal to acquire Private Wire, which provides stock quotes to users on its investor channel and to third-party clients, will double the size
