Thomson Gets Green Light on Primark Tender Offer

NEW YORK--The antitrust division of the US Department of Justice has closed its review of Thomson Financial’s previously announced tender offer for Primark’s common shares. Thomson’s offer to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of Primark was recently extended to expire on Sept. 12.
Thomson asked for the extension to "allow the satisfaction of certain closing conditions," including a request for additional information from the antitrust division of the Justice Department. The
