Dow Jones' ABN Inks TV Deal For Japan Market

Dow Jones' Singapore-based Asia Business News (ABN) TV network has been given the go-ahead by the Japanese government to begin broadcasting over PerfecTV, Japan's first digital, multi-channel television service. ABN, along with the newer European Business News (EBN), represents the news company's attempt to use the Wall Street Journal's reputation as an entree into the international television market.

In Japan, PerfecTV will include translations of a number of existing ABN programs into Japanese
