Dow Jones Newswires’ Revenues Up 11 Percent In Second Quarter

EARNINGS REPORT

NEW YORK--Dow Jones released its second quarter earnings report last week, which included a rise of 11 percent over the same period last year for the Dow Jones Newswires division.

The earnings report indicates that revenues grew significantly this quarter within the electronic publishing segment, which includes the newswires, WSJ.com (Wall Street Journal via the Internet) and Factiva--the Dow Jones & Co./Reuters joint venture.

Total segment revenues were higher by 10 percent over the same period
