New HS Indexes Track China-HK Disparities

Currently, 45 Chinese companies have dual listings on both the Shanghai and Hong Kong exchanges, which can result in different valuations of these stocks—mainland China's renminbi-denominated A-shares, which are only open to domestic investors, have fluctuated between trading at 15 percent discount and a 58 percent premium to their counterparts in Hong Kong over the past 18 months.
