Sybase Buys Aleri to Broaden CEP Play, Target New Markets
The deal, which was agreed between the two vendors on Jan. 22, sees Sybase take over Aleri's CEP technology-including its core CEP engine and data adapters, and templates for related applications for risk and liquidity management-and Coral8, which Aleri acquired less than a year ago (IMD, March 6, 2009), and take on many of the Aleri staff, including key members of Aleri's management team.
