BT Radianz Moves Backup POP


BT Radianz has begun moving its Paris-based clients onto a new second point ofpresence for connectivity to its data network, replacing the previous backupPOP. Users had complained that it did not offer sufficient resiliency becauseit was housed in the same building as the primary POP (IMD, May 31, 2004).

BT Radianz CTO and chief strategy officer Brennan Carley says that about 50 clientsare now connected to the new POP, which is located in Paris, but about five kilometersfrom the primary site.
