FTSE and ASEAN Join Exchanges
EXCHANGE WATCH
London-based index provider FTSE has signed a memorandum of understanding with five ASEAN exchanges to create a series of indices.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand, Jakarta Stock Exchange, Philippine Stock Exchange, Singapore Exchange and Bursa Malaysia are collaborating under the ASEAN umbrella to launch indices for the trading and benchmarking of financial products.
They say the objectives are to brand ASEAN, broaden exposure of the ASEAN companies and facilitate investment in the ASEAN region
