GFI Expands Bloomberg, Reuters Usage

London-based interdealer broker GFI has upped the number of real-time data terminals used by its brokers as a result of staff expansion and a recent office move that consolidated two older buildings.

The firm has hired around 150 brokers since the start of this year, bringing the total to around 660 worldwide. These have taken a mix of services from Bloomberg and Reuters, says Chris Michaels, head of IT systems for Europe and project manager for the firm's recent move.
