Burton-Taylor: Bankers, Buy Side to Drive Data Spend in 2011

Investment banking and portfolio management groups were the largest areas of increase in data spend during 2010, driving demand for research and analytics products—a trend that is expected to continue through 2011, according to research from Burton-Taylor International Consulting.

Spend on data products and services by investment banking and corporate finance professionals increased by nearly 10 percent to around $660 million during 2010, according to the research, while spend by portfolio
