FSMLabs Sells Patents to Build Monitoring Tool
FSMLabs, an Austin, TX-based provider of real-time systems management technology, last week closed a deal to sell four of its patents relating to fault tolerance, security and virtual computing. The sale will raise funds to accelerate development of a failure detection capability as an optional feature for its TimeKeeper server-clock synchronization product, as the growth of high-frequency trading increases the need for precise timestamping and latency management.
