EFIS 2012: Managing Desktop Spend Still a Challenge, Panel Says

Financial firms can achieve cost savings by rolling out cheaper data desktop solutions to replace premium terminals, but risk harming their business if they do not take appropriate measures to compensate for any loss of functionality, according to a panel at last week’s European Financial Information Summit.

“When it comes to choosing desktops, you need to ask yourself, why is it cheap? Is it just a container for data, or does it actually have the depth of data you need?” said Karen Archer-Jones
