DataArt, Kaazing Partner for Mobile Apps
Bespoke software developer DataArt is developing real-time mobile applications for financial firms in partnership with Mountain View, Calif.-based technology vendor Kaazing, after receiving demand for on-the-go tools to support trading and investment activities.
The first product developed by the vendors is a free front-office portfolio management tool that leverages HTML5 technology to enable portfolio managers to access portfolios and manage their positions while away from their desks.
The application is built on Kaazing's WebSocket standards-based software platform that allows firms to connect their market data feeds and systems to mobile applications for real-time data delivery, and leverages front-end software development and visualization tools from DataArt that allow firms to view their positions, says Oleg Komissarov, senior vice president at DataArt.
