Thomson Reuters Releases Power Markets App on Eikon
The new tool will help power companies balance supply and consumption, and help traders plan day-ahead strategies.
The app combines supply and demand forecasts, regulatory announcements, weather forecasts and intra-day prices from the European Power Exchange (EPEX), which operates day-ahead power markets for France, Germany/Austria/Luxembourg and Switzerland, to generate intra-day predictions of price movements for EPEX-listed securities.
The application looks at up-to-the-hour weather forecast data from the Global Forecast System, a weather forecast model produced by the National Centers for Environmental
