Thomson Reuters Begins Final Thomson One Phase-Out

The vendor recently sent end-of-life notices to customers of its legacy Thomson One desktops, announcing that it will retire the platform next year.

First-quarter revenues for Thomson Reuters’ Financial and Risk division, which include sales of the vendor’s flagship Eikon terminal and datafeeds, fell by 1 percent to $1.509 billion as a result of a 13 percent decrease in recurring revenue—which accounts for 77 percent of the division’s total revenue—caused by ongoing changes to commercial models as the vendor completes the migration from legacy products.
