OpenFin Releases Pre-Production Version 6 of HTML5 Container
Version 6 of OpenFin's open-source HTML5 container offers additional security features to make the platform acceptable to financial markets firms.
Version 6.0 is built on San Francisco-based software vendor Github’s Electron open-source framework for cross-platform development of desktop applications.
“This is a very important release because… [Electron] is run by the Github team and supports the Atom software editor. Electron is in the consumer space outside of finance, but it has captured the imagination of developers in finance,” says OpenFin chief executive Mazy Dar. “So by incorporating Electron into OpenFin, we’ve made it easily
