There is a need for improved quality and consistency in trade data reporting, said Jack Vensel, managing director, head of electronic trading, EMEA, Citi, in his keynote address at the European Financial Information Summit in London in September.
“At the moment, there’s no standard way trade data is reported,” he said, adding that the problem is that there is no consistency. “A simple, clear mandate is the best way to solve this.”
