Form PF Presents Data Challenges For Funds With Derivatives Positions

The Form PF rule, which requires private fund advisors to report to regulators, presents data management challenges for firms that have derivatives positions, according to an official at data vendor Thomson Reuters.

The Form PF requires advisors to hedge funds, private equity funds and liquidity funds to provide regulators with information about the contents of those funds. The reporting obligations vary depending on the size and type of fund.

FCA declines to directly regulate market data prices

A year-long investigation by the UK regulator to determine whether competition is hindered in the wholesale data markets has concluded with its decision not to directly regulate much-maligned data pricing and licensing structures.
