LEI Governance Body Established With US Treasury's Reed As Chair

The inaugural meeting of the legal entitiy identifier Regulatory Oversight Committee took place in Toronto at the end of January

The legal entity identifier (LEI) Regulatory Oversight Committee (ROC) has been established as the governance body of the global identification system and, with Matthew Reed of the US Treasury Department as its chair, has taken over responsibility from the Financial Stability Board (FSB) for launching the global LEI system.

FCA declines to directly regulate market data prices

A year-long investigation by the UK regulator to determine whether competition is hindered in the wholesale data markets has concluded with its decision not to directly regulate much-maligned data pricing and licensing structures.
