DTCC, Euroclear to Collaborate on Collateral Processing
The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and Euroclear have announced plans for a utility that will provide straight-through processing of margin obligations and a utility for sub-optimal collateral mobility and allocation, which they will operate as a joint venture.
When launched, the Margin Transit Utility (MTU) is intended to provide straight-through processing for agreed margin calls, including the creation of settlement instructions for each agreed call using standing settlement
