Reference and corporate actions data provider Exchange Data International (EDI) has partnered with Toronto-based search engine company Quandl to provide EDI's corporate actions database to Quandl clients.

EDI's database contains more than 4.5 million corporate actions records, covering 300,000 securities from more than 100,000 companies. The database covers more than 150 exchanges and 60 types of corporate actions, including dividends, bonus issues, rights issues, mergers and buybacks of shares.

"Equity investors will now have the opportunity to purchase the data by exchange and country as and when they wish to monitor a particular security, exchange or country," says Jonathan Bloch, CEO, EDI.

Financial services product aggregator Airex Markets added two EDI offerings in December.
