IMA Calls for EC Action; Vendors Disagree


The study of IMA members found that data quality in the UK has deteriorated as the result of "double counting" trades reported to multiple venues and changes to the rules governing delayed reporting of trades, though IMA senior adviser Liz Rae concedes that "in other European markets the quality of information has improved."

The cost of consolidated data was also deemed prohibitive, with many IMA members claiming that they are "not able to afford to pay the fees demanded by some data service
