Alexandria Tech uses machine-learning tools to create signals based on analysis of NT Newswires' content.
MT Newswires provides its real-time news feed and archive to Alexandria Technology via an FTP feed. Alexandria reviews every news story to ensure it is correctly classified and tagged, then uses machine-learning tools to look for groupings of words that signify positive or negative sentiment, before applying a sentiment score to each item. Dan Joldzic, president of Alexandria Technology, says this delivers 91 percent accuracy, compared to the “traditional” method of natural-language processing
