Morningstar Preps Credit Rating Growth

Chicago-based data and investment research provider Morningstar is expanding its ratings and research for corporate credit and mortgage-backed securities.

"During the meltdown, a lot of our institutional clients were asking our analysts about credit research... so over the past year, we have been codifying and formalizing that into ratings," says Catherine Odelbo, president of equity research at Morningstar.
