On a recent trip to Chicago, Waters news editor Anthony Malakian sat down with Connamara Systems founder James Downs to discuss how the current regulatory environment is affecting business and other trends.

According to Downs, risk management and controlling algorithms are the current hot sellers. Additionally, the uncertainty of regulations surrounding short-sale rules, as well as consolidated audit trails and large trader identification, has forced Connamara, and the industry at large, into a state of wait-and-see.
