CLS Group Names Aiyar as CTO

Sankar Aiyar has been appointed chief technology officer of the CLS group.

Aiyar will report directly to CEO Alan Bozian as a member of senior management. He joins the organization after a 13-year career at Citigroup, where he was previously managing director after a string of high-level posts in Tokyo and New York.

Before Citigroup, Aiyar was an executive director at Swiss Bank, having started his career at Burroughs Corp. and American Express. He holds an MS in systems and management from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, and a BS in mechanical engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.

"We look forward to Sankar joining the management team as chief technology officer, a new role which will be integral to the future of CLS," says Bozian. "Sankar's experience of developing and executing technology strategies in the financial services industry, coupled with his international experience, will complement our existing expertise and help CLS evolve with the changing FX market."
