TradeKing Automates Internal Monitoring
While many broker-dealers have embraced social media tracking services to gauge the stock sentiment of the public, TradeKing is looking in the other direction. The North Carolina- and Florida-based discount broker has gone live with SunGard's Protegent Social Media Surveillance in order to monitor its own advisors' activity on social media sites.
The Financial Inudstry Regulatory Authority (Finra) requires TradeKing to monitor all of its communications with the public. Officials say the broker
