With current chief information officer (CIO) Michael Kuhn on his way out, Deutsche Börse has hired Hauke Stars away from Hewlett-Packard, according to reports.

Stars, the general manager of HP Switzerland, will assume control of the German exchange's IT, market data, and analytics operations. The three areas were merged into a single business unit in February, to be managed by the CIO.

She will assume control in December. Kuhn will depart at year's end when his contract expires.
