CLS Group has selected ex-American Express staffer Alexander Fishie to take the post of chief financial officer (CFO).
CLS, which provides risk mitigation infrastructure for the interbank foreign exchange (FX) market by negating settlement risk, says that Fishie will join the executive committee and report in to CEO David Puth.
Fishie was most recently the international financial controller for Europe, Middle East, Asia, Canada and Latin America at Amex. He also held the post of regional financial controller for Europe, Middle East and Africa at the company, and served as a director on its board.
Before American Express, Fishie was the CFO and head of strategy for Africa and the Middle East at Barclays, and worked in finance functions at Standard Chartered. He began his career at Deloitte Haskins & Sells.
