EACH Names Plata Secretary General

Rafael Plata has been appointed secretary general of the European Association of CCPs Clearing Houses.

Plata will be based in Brussels and will be responsible for the communication of EACH's interests in front of public authorities and stakeholders as of January 1, 2014.

Plata is currently head of derivatives and post-trading for the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE) where he is responsible for coordinating the FESE policy work. A professional in public affairs, he has over ten years' experience in the financial services industry.
