Markit to Seek Listing on Nasdaq

Nasdaq technical glitch hits Apple Facebook and Microsoft
Nasdaq won the listing over the NYSE.

Markit's IPO plan is one of the most high-profile listings for the financial technology space in some time, and the London-headquartered firm hopes to raise $750 million from the share offering. It was announced that the firm would seek to list in New York, rather than London, at the beginning of the month, but unclear whether this would be on Nasdaq, or the IntercontinentalExchange-owned New York Stock Exchange.
