Looking back over the events of 2011, this year can be best summed up as a year of unfulfilled anticipation and preparation. Whether it was getting ready for The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act in the US or the second draft Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid II) in Europe, financial technologist spent the year putting their organizations in the optimal position to meet the final regulations while dealing with business as usual.
