Why did you decide to leave Credit Suisse AES for Instinet Europe (IE)?
The short answer is because it sounded easy.

Basically, when Tony Mackay (IE chairman and Chi-X Global chief executive) first started talking to me, asking if I wanted to take over his role as head of Instinet Europe, like a lot of people I was a bit confused at the time about what Instinet the broker actually was in Europe. There was the Reuters sale (of the firm) to Silver Lake, then from Silver Lake
