TT Unveils Cloud-based Trading Platform, Will Sunset X_Trader

Nextrader is an internet-based platform and will be offered on a software-as-a-service (SaaS) basis. It will eventually have the same functionality as TT's flagship platform, X_Trader, which will be sunsetted in late 2015 or 2016.

Rick Lane, CEO of TT, tells Buy-Side Technology that the vendor will not make Nextrader commercially available until the second half of 2014 and that at launch, there will be some "functionality gaps,” such as allocation support and exchange connectivity. Therefore
