Data Consumers Form Working Group to Prevent Intro of Bloomberg SPA Contracts for Fund Admin Clients

According to data consumers in the group, the licensing change would mean fund administrators would pay several times for the same data as the SPA contract introduces a new per security, per portfolio fee.

Bloomberg did not respond to requests from Inside Reference Data by press time, but working group members say the banks are still working with the old Bloomberg contracts, and the change to SPA contracts, initially said to be effective from January 1, 2010, is yet to take place.
