Kx Plans More STAC Benchmarks
Database technology vendor Kx Systems is to benchmark the performance of its software on different hardware configurations using standardized testing methodologies from the Securities Technology Analysis Center (STAC), to help clients make more informed hardware purchasing decisions.
The vendor was one of the first to complete a benchmark using STAC's methodology this summer, testing Version 2.6 of its kdb+ database technologies on an Oracle Sun Fire X4540 server running the Oracle Enterprise
