Dow Jones Markets Boosts Bond Data With Acquisition

Dow Jones Markets has acquired Indepth Data, a provider of descriptive and real-time information covering the US taxable bond market, as part of its plan to become a full-service provider of financial information and execution services.

The deal is aimed at giving Dow Jones Markets the breadth and depth of data that will allow it to compete with Reuters, Bloomberg and Bridge Information Systems in the investment segment of the market data business.
