Astley-Sparke Snubs Bridge; Active1 Now In Question

NEW YORK--Peter Astley-Sparke, Dow Jones Markets' development executive under whose tenure the Active1 desktop came into being, has decided not to join Bridge Information Systems, which is in the midst of acquiring the former Telerate. Astley-Sparke, affectionately known as "Sparkstation" for reasons that should be obvious, also played a major role in the ongoing development of the Dow Jones (Telerate) Workstation and the Dow Jones Platform (Telerate Trading Room Systems).
