Fame Sells Database To DRI, Exiting Information Business

DRI/McGraw-Hill has acquired Fame Information Services Inc.'s Fame Economics family of three databases. With the sale, Fame exits the information business and will focus on what has otherwise been its main line of business -- financial database warehousing technology and database delivery software. DRI, for its part, is acquiring the databases in order to expand its product line.

Separately, DRI is planning to link a DRI desktop application to the Fame database software, says Stuart Braman
