Reuters Previews New Quotron Product, Plans Year-End Debut

Reuters one month ago unveiled a demonstration version of Quotron 5.0, the first new Quotron product to emerge since Reuters' acquisition of the retail quote terminal provider from Citicorp in 1994. The service, combining Quotron's traditional US equities content with historical and fundamental data from Reuters' 3000-series product line, will include in its target market sophisticated institutional users, in line with Reuters' wider focus on that user segment.
