Bloomberg Rebuts License Rumors

Rumors are circulating among market data managers that Bloomberg is trying to leverage its Data License agreements to pressure them into signing up for PhatPipe, its new datafeed. But Bloomberg officials tell Inside Market Data that the Data License and PhatPipe are separate services and there is no pressure on customers to sign up for the new feed.

One market data manager says Bloomberg has said that it will limit the number of downloads a firm can make under the Data License if it does not sign
