ComStock Upgrades to Cut Latency

Datafeed provider ComStock has re-engineered its data distribution infrastructure in a bid to cut data latency and better compete with direct data delivery options, officials tell Inside Market Data.

Don Finucane, ComStock’s vice-president of marketing and product management, says that over the last 18 months the vendor has increased the capacity of its architecture by upgrading its communications lines and porting its ticker plant from Sun Microsystems hardware running Solaris to x86 hardware
