Bridge Loses SIAC Data At Market Open; Telerate Datafeed Users See Problems

NEW YORK--Several users of services from Bridge Information Systems were affected by a loss of certain exchange data for approximately 20 minutes at the market open last Tuesday. The problem was due to communications failure at Sector, a subsidiary of the Securities Industry Automation Corp. (SIAC), which consolidates data from several exchanges for redistribution to market data vendors.

The data affected came from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Options Price Reporting Authority (Opra).
