In a surprise move that could eventually lead to a changing of the guard in the retail quote marketplace, Merrill Lynch & Co. has decided not to renew its contract with ADP, its long-time incumbent quote vendor that currently supports some 20,000 retail positions. Merrill is evaluating quote systems as part of its so-called Trusted Global Advisor (TGA) retail quote project.
