VRXML Becoming the Standard

Exchanges and vendors are planning to adopt the Vendor Reporting Extensible Markup Language (VRXML) protocol for tracking market data usage following the New York Stock Exchange’s (NYSE) commitment to the format.

NYSE has vetted VRXML through the Financial Industries Services Division (FISD) of the Software and Information Industry Association and published the standard, process and format (IMD, Nov. 11, 2002). This has laid the groundwork for other exchanges to adopt the format, says Glen
