Mighter Gissing Launches Excel Add-In

Mighter Gissing Software (MGS), a provider of market data contribution software, is launching RealtimeXL, an add-on service for retrieving and publishing real-time data in Microsoft Excel, at the end of this quarter.
RealtimeXL is an alternative to the Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)-based protocol that is used by thousands of traders and which MGS claims lacks flexibility. The vendor says that with DDE, cell formulae must be entered explicitly and that only a limited number of fields and records can
