Informatica Launches Sub-100 Nanosecond Message Delivery

Data integration software provider Informatica has launched a new high-performance messaging layer, dubbed Informatica Ultra Messaging SMX (Shared Memory Acceleration), which will provide sub-100 nanosecond latency for delivery of market data messages within high-speed electronic trading applications.

SMX is available as part of version 6.1 of Informatica Ultra Messaging and is targeted at market makers, high-frequency traders, algorithmic trading firms and firms executing arbitrage strategies, who are looking to leverage low latency and high throughput to gain a competitive advantage, officials say.
