BATS UK Index Series Takes Flight
Officials say the indexes will help investors make better-informed trading decisions, while offering an affordable alternative to existing indexes.
BATS will launch 18 different indexes covering large- to small-cap securities and 12 industry sectors, published in real time.
Officials say the indexes will provide accurate and reliable index data, transparently calculated, and valued using BATS' high-quality market data, with the exception of the BATS UK Alternative 100, which uses data from the Icap Securities and Derivatives Exchange (ISDX, formerly Plus Markets Group).
The indexes are free of charge to private and professional investors
